A MAN has been left with a "serious facial injury" after being assaulted on a Bellshill street.
The incident, which took place on Summerhill Way at the junction of Caledonian Street on Tuesday June, 15 at 4.15pm, saw the 35-year-old approached by three people.
Following the attack, the man was transferred to Wishaw General Hospital where he was treated for a serious facial injury.
Police have launched an appeal for information about the attack, and are particularly keen to speak to three teenage boys seen in the area at the time.

They are all described as being around 16-years-old and around 5ft 9in tall. One is described as heavy built and wearing a blue t-shirt.
Detective Constable Graeme Stoddart, of Wishaw CID, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of this assault. In particular three teenagers as they may be able to help with our investigation.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call us on 101, quoting incident number 2437 of Tuesday, 15 June, 2021, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
