If you do not have the professional experience but do have life experience, Aspire would still love to hear from you.  Aspire will ensure you are provided with the necessary training you need, with training being delivered by the National Scottish Care Award Winning Learning & Development Facilitator or organised with training partners. Due to COVID-19 some training is delivered on-line, but you will also have the opportunity to shadow experienced Support Workers, while receiving strong support and leadership.

Care at Home and Self-Directed Support vacancies are within the North Lanarkshire, East Renfrewshire and Renfrewshire areas and you could be assisting people with a variety of physical disabilities or mental health issues. For instance, Aspire is looking for staff to provide support to a young gentleman who is on the Autistic spectrum and lives in his own home. There is currently a small, dedicated support team who provide support 24 hours a day which includes 1:1 support and additional 2:1 for activities that include cinema, travelling via his own car and sensory activities. Due to specific dietary requirements meal planning and preparations is advantageous.

Alternatively, if you were to join the dynamic service team within the Glasgow area offering housing and practical and emotional support to individuals with a variety of support needs you would be supporting people within their own homes, engaging with the local community, engaging with recovery opportunities, and assisting people to live their best life as independently as possible.
