VICIOUS thugs attacked two teenagers in a park in broad daylight.
The brazen assailants struck in Belhaven Park, Wishaw on Friday evening.
Thankfully, neither the 18-year-old girl nor the 16-year-old boy needed to go to hospital.
Police said they were following positive lines of enquiry and urged anyone who witnessed the assaults to come forward.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "Police are investigating the assault of a 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old woman within Belhaven Park in Wishaw which happened at around 7.30pm on Friday, June 18, 2021.
“Officers are following positive lines of enquiry and anyone who witnessed what happened is asked to come forward.
“The victims did not require hospital treatment.
“Those with information should report this to Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 3341 of June 18.”
