FIREBUGS who torched a campervan and cars outside a house are being hunted by police. 

The thugs struck in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Glasgow's Milton and destroyed two motors and the holiday van. 

Neighbouring homes were evacuated as a precaution while firefighters tackled the blaze.

Luckily, no one was harmed in the fire, which police believe was started deliberately in Ashgill Road at around 2am yesterday. 

We told yesterday how a car was set ablaze outside a home in Maryhill at around 12.40pm. 

It is not known if the incidents are linked.

Detective Inspector Graham McCreadie of Maryhill Police Station said: “Fortunately no one was injured as a result of this fire, however, this was a reckless and deliberate act and we are urging anyone with information that may assist our ongoing investigation to contact us.

“We have been carrying out enquiries and gathering CCTV from the local area to gather more information on the circumstances surrounding this incident and to trace those responsible.
