A MAN who was asked to leave an Asda supermarket went on to be racist to cops including calling them Scottish c***s.

Sabin Sahin entered the Robroyston store on June 27 last year whilst drunk.

After refusing to leave when asked to do so by staff members, police arrived and spoke with the 35-year-old.

On Tuesday, Glasgow Sheriff Court heard: “When the police asked the accused what had happened, he stated ‘these white motherf*****s wouldn’t let me in’.

“He was asked to refrain from swearing, at which point he clittered out his jaw towards officers before shouting ‘what you going to do you racist b***h c**t?’

“The accused then shouted ‘Scottish c**t’ at police. He was placed under arrest, and he shouted in response ‘white n***a racist motherf****r’. I’ll spit on you, I’ll kick f**k out of you f*****g motherf****r’.

“He was placed within the rear of a cell van, and he shouted ‘I’ll f*****g smash your f*****g c**t. He attempted to reach into the front of his trousers while shouting ‘I’ll f**k you up English b***h’.”

Glasgow Times:

In a separate incident just two days before, Sahin was arrested after he was seen to be hitting a large wooden pole against a fence.

On June 25, police officers noted Sahin was stripped to the waist on Southbank Drive in Kirkintilloch.

The prosecutor said: “He had picked up a large wooden fence pole and was brandishing it and striking it at the ground and the fencing of a building site in an aggressive manner.

“He was walking on the road and had ripped his t-shirt off and tied it around his wrist.

“Police noted him to be in an agitated state and he appeared intoxicated, shouting and swearing aggressively.

“The accused was arrested by police and cautioned and charged to which he replied you ‘f*****g a*****e’ and ‘f*****g motherf*****s’.

“He continued to shout and swear and said police were p***y men. He stated he wished to fight officers because he had no respect for British police.”

Sahin also appeared in court charged with failing to attend a previous court case in May 2018.

His lawyer said his client was ashamed of his own behaviour.

The defence solicitor added: “Both of the offences were committed within a day or two of each other.

“He found himself in a difficult position as he was homeless. He couldn’t get back down to where he was living in England and was sleeping on the streets.”

Sheriff Paul Brown was informed that Sahin was more than happy to undertake unpaid work within the community, as a direct alternative to custody.

The sheriff told Sahin: “I think you are right to be ashamed. It’s absolutely shameful behaviour, racist behaviour, and disgusting behaviour towards police officers, including a female police officer.

“For all these reasons I had in mind sending you to prison. The order I’m going to impose is an alternative.”

Sahin, whose address was listed as Cowgate in Kirkintilloch and Sheffield in England, was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within 12 months, be of supervision for 18 months, and told to stay within his home address between 7pm-7am for 126 days.
