Newly founded Glasgow brand Now lashes have sent hearts (and falsies) a flutter this month with the installation of their new eyelash vending machine in Braehead Shopping Centre.

Beauty fans are loving the quick and easy service which brand director Maryanne O’Neill believes will revolutionise the way we prepare for nights out.

Glasgow Times:

She said: “We thought we would bring the quality lashes you usually get online to people in a way that’s convenient.

“It’s done really well! We’ve only had it live for a couple of days but it’s had a great response.”

A far cry from the conventional snack vending machines we know and love, the lashes Now model is a fully modern experience with an interactive touch screen monitor that customers can use to browse carefully created guides for each range of lashes.

Maryanne said: “We actually designed all of our lashes, we have a vegan collection, a party collection, a silk collection, and a mink collection. We went for quality but also made sure that they’re affordable.

Glasgow Times:

“Prices start from £5 and they can be used up to five times, as long as they’re properly cleaned and taken care of. We do sell lash shampoo and accessories in the vending machine too.”

Developing the brand over lockdown meant that Maryanne was able to give extra time and thought to the packaging of the products which she believes is an important part of their appeal.

She said “Our packaging is all colour coded, the vegan collection is green, and then it’s black for the party lashes so it’s really easy to judge by colour. We also gave them fun names like ‘Say hello to my vegan friend’ or ‘I woke up like this.’

“We paid a lot of attention to detail and tried to think about what the customer would want.”

Now lashes is the latest venture for the ‘Now’ brand which already includes Now Brows, Now Barbers, and Now nails - which operates from their salon in Braehead.
