A FAMILY are growing concerned for a missing woman from Lanark.

Shelly-Ann Daly, 22, was last seen at the Palace Grounds in Hamilton at around 6.10pm on Saturday June 19.

It is out of character for Shelly-Ann to be out of contact with her family and friends. She is from Lanark but spends time in Hamilton.

She is described as being around 5ft5, of medium build with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last wearing a grey jumper, blue jeans, black and orange Nike trainers and carrying a brown and white bag.

Police are keen to trace a man who Shelly-Ann was seen speaking to at Hamilton Bus Station around 4.30pm on the day she vanished.

He is described as white, medium build with balding grey hair and was wearing a full grey tracksuit.

Inspector Tony Gallagher, of Lanark Police Station, said: " Shelly-Ann has been out of contact with her family and friends since Saturday evening, which is out of character and concerns are growing for her as a result.

"She is from Lanark but frequents Hamilton and was last seen there. We are working to establish her movements since she was last seen on Saturday so anyone at all who believes they may have seen her is urged to come forward.

"Our enquiries so far have found she may have spoken to a man at Hamilton Bus Station around 4.30pm on Saturday, 19 June. We are keen to speak to this man to find out if she indicated where she was going so if you believe this may be you then please get in touch."
