The Queen is to travel to Scotland for her traditional Holyrood Week.

The monarch will carry out engagements celebrating Scottish community, innovation and history between Monday, June 28, and Thursday, July 1, Buckingham Palace said.

She will stay at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, her official residence in Scotland.

The Queen will be joined by her grandson the Duke of Cambridge for engagements on Monday, and then by her daughter the Princess Royal for engagements on Wednesday and Thursday, the palace said.

In Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling, the Queen will visit businesses, charities and cultural institutions.
