OUTDOOR cinema is back on the South Side.

During July, Queen’s Park Arena will be celebrating superheroes with classic cape wearing crusaders, kick ass kids and gothic antiheroes all featuring on the big screen.

Superhero season kicks off with the Oscar winning webslinger when he goes into the Spiderverse on July 1 and closes with Black Panther on July 10.

After sold out runs in 2019, QPA is adding some socially distanced safety measures.

Seating will be marked out around the amphitheatre so that there is plenty of space between groups and there will be easy to follow routes around the site.

A licensed cafe bar will be open for drinks, ice-cream and popcorn.

Kirsty Hood, Community Development director at Inhouse Events, said: “We can’t wait to welcome everybody back - the atmosphere two years ago was brilliant, and it’ll be all more special this year.

"There’s certainly been some new challenges to overcome, but we’ve been working hard to make the events as covid safe and as affordable as we can for everybody.”

Tickets range from £0 to £10.
