GLASGOW is set to be warmer than Lisbon this week as scorching hot temperatures head for Scotland.
Forecasters are anticipating the mercury to rise to around 24C in the city tomorrow, putting it in the same league as some of the hottest places on the continent.
Met Office experts predict the temperatures in Lisbon to fall short of the peak in Glasgow, with the Portuguese capital set to see 23C heat around the same time.

- Elsewhere in Scotland, Edinburgh will enjoy a balmy 20C, while Aberdeen will hit 18C.
- People in the north of the country won't be left out, with temperatures in Inverness climbing to 22C.
The warmer temperatures are expected to peak at the beginning of the week, and decrease slowly throughout.
However in many places the summer weather looks set to hover around the upper teens well into next week.
A Tuesday forecast from the Met Office reads: “Mainly dry with some warm or very warm sunshine.
“However, overnight low cloud may linger around far west coasts for a time during the day.”
