A TEENAGER has become the latest person to be arrested and charged in connection with disorder in George Square during Rangers fans' title celebrations. 

Police have confirmed a 17-year-old boy will appear in court at a later date following the violent scenes in Glasgow city centre in May. 

A number of supporters clashed with police and nearly 50 people have since been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. 

The teenager has been released on an undertaking with cops due to submit a report to the procurator fiscal. 

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged following an investigation into disorder in George Square on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

"He has been released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

"A report is being submitted to the procurator fiscal."
