YOUTHS have deliberately damaged the grounds of a Glasgow play park by setting fires.
Vandals started a blaze within Penilee playground, and also went on to set a chair alight.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene at around 8pm.
One local resident shared her frustration following the incident.
She said: "It makes me so angry that people can do this and then find it funny."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We were alerted at 8.14pm on Monday, June 28, to reports of a fire in the open at Penilee Park, Glasgow.
“Operations control mobilised two appliances to the scene and firefighters extinguished a rubbish fire.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe and there were no reported casualties.”
