THE second series of a hit show starring David Tennant is to be filmed exclusively in Scotland, it has been announced. 

Good Omens, also featuring the Quiz and The Good Fight actor Michael Sheen, will begin shooting this summer.

It's a boon for the Scottish film and TV industry after playing host to Tetris crews filming the Taron Egerton flick in Glasgow and others in recent months. 

Culture Secretary Angus Robertson praised the move from Amazon Prime, which will stream the show exclusively at a time yet to be announced. 

He said: "The Scottish Government and our agencies are committed to strengthening support for the creative industries in Scotland. Securing major screen productions like this will create high-quality creative jobs and help promote economic growth.”

It will be executive produced by Neil Gaiman, who wrote the original book with the late Terry Pratchett.
