A MAN has been charged over allegedly setting fire to a home during a spate of blaze attacks that plagued a community.
A home in Greenock's Wellington Street was torched on Wednesday, September 16 last year.
It was one of a number of fires in the town and surrounding area which shocked local residents last autumn.

The 25-year-old appeared in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday.
Detective Superintendent Gerry McBride said: “This is yet another arrest and charge in connection with a series of wilful fire-raisings in the Inverclyde and Greenock area last autumn.
“I hope this continues to reassure the local community that this type of reckless behaviour will not be tolerated and that officers will continue to work tirelessly to investigate these crimes and identify those responsible to bring them before the courts".
“Enquiries remain ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to contact police.”
