A TURKISH takeaway in Glasgow has made it to the semi-final of a UK award ceremony.
Istanbul Turkish Kebab House, on Paisley Road West in Kinning Park, has been listed for a Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway Award.
A local MP has congratulated the store following the news it of hoping to grab the "Best Turkish Restaurant in Scotland" prize.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London later this year.
Alison Thewliss, Glasgow Central MP, said: “I am delighted that Istanbul has been long-listed for the prestigious British Kebab Awards, which highlights their contribution to the kebab industry in Scotland, and the UK as a whole.
"I wish the team many congratulations for their success and have my fingers crossed for them in the semi-finals.
"I was lucky enough to make it along to Istanbul recently, and look forward to returning once more in the near future."
