Emergency services and Scottish Water are currently in attendance at an incident in Chapelhall.

At around 3am Scottish Water confirmed that they were on-site in the area following reports of a 'bad' burst water pipe at Main Street.

The utility firm said due to this, customers in the local area may experience disruption to their water supply this morning.

They have since confirmed that alternative supplies have been introduced to maintain water supplies for as many customers as possible whilst repair work continues.

Excavation work to expose and repair the damaged water pipe will need to take place which has resulted in temporary road closures.

Police Scotland were also in attendance.
