POLICE are at the scene of an ongoing incident in the Athlete's Village.
Several Police Scotland officers and an ambulance crew were called to the East End location around 6.25am this morning.
Locals said police in what appeared to be forensics suits were at the cycle path that runs behind Sydney Crescent and along the River Clyde.
Police Scotland said there is no risk to the wider public currently and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
There are currently three police vehicles and a van at the scene.
A section of a street has been taped off and police officers are guarding the cordon.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police were called around 6.25am on Monday, July 5, 2021 in connection with an ongoing incident near Kingston Place, Glasgow.
"There is an increased police presence in the area but there is no risk or concern to the wider public.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
