Celtic could be priced out of a move for Aaron Hickey as Bologna named their price for the defender, according to reports.

The left-back has been a long-time target for the Hoops who are understood to be keen on him once again this summer.

Greg Taylor and sinner Boli Bolingoli are the club's two recognised wing-backs on that flank but Ange Postecoglou fancies having £3.5million set aside to spend on Hickey.

That won't be nearly enough, though, according to Italian outlet Il Resto del Carlino who claim his club want a staggering £8million for their young prospect after one season in Serie A.

The price tag for the 19-year-old comes as Fiorentina have registered an interest, with Siniša Mihajlović believed to be hopeful the hefty fee could put clubs off bidding.

Meanwhile Swedish centre-half Carl Starfelt has emerged as a target for Celts who want the Rubin Kazan ace to replace wantaway Kris Ajer long-term.
