PLANS to build a new care home in Garthamlock have been submitted to Glasgow City Council.
The applicant, Voyage Care, hopes to build three separate buildings at Findochty Street, opposite Findochty Place.
Currently, the 5,700 square metre site is unoccupied and is covered almost entirely by vegetation and trees.

The development aims to provide much needed high quality care and supported living apartments that specifically provide for people with learning disabilities, and to provide care and support for people with a brain injury.
The project includes a shared car park providing access to each building, shared landscaped areas, private communal gardens, plus a large shared garden.
If planning permission is granted, Voyage Care will build a 16-bed brain injury rehabilitation care home, twelve supported-living apartments and twelve supported-living apartments for those with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs.
They say the design has been developed so that the scheme is in-keeping with the character of the neighbourhood, with principal materials of the proposed buildings being a natural sand coloured render.
