CELTIC'S pursuit of defender Mario Vuskovic has 'gone cold' according to a former Rangers star turned agent.

The Hoops were linked with a £4.5million move for the Hajduk Split stopper, but Craig Moore claims Ange Postecoglou has turned his attention elsewhere.

The Celtic boss has already added Osaze Urhoghide to the defensive ranks, with rumours suggesting Carl Starfelt is on the club's shopping list.

It could mean any move for Croatian 19-year-old Vuskovic is off the table.

Moore, who starred for Rangers for more than a decadeover two spells, said he's been "close" to the transfer saga, but believes Celtic are not "seriously" considering a move.

Vuskovic, who played a starring role for Hadjuk last term, has already reportedly turned down interest from Basel, with Feyenoord also scouting the defender.

Moore told the Go Radio Football Show: "I've been quite close to this one and it's a little bit cold. I mean I've seen it in the media a lot.

"Certainly hasn't been coming out from my side or anything like that but look, Vuskovic, is a fantastic player - thirty-nine games in the Croatian top flight.

"He's 19-year-old, he's had interest from Basel which he knocked back. He's had interest from Feyenoord.

"There's a lot of clubs sniffing about. But at this moment in time, I don't think it's something that Celtic are seriously looking at.

"I think they are looking for a little bit more experience."
