Clubs might still be shut here in Glasgow, but it’s time to get loud and proud as SWG3 prepares to host ‘an epic two day PRIDE celebration’ on Friday and Saturday, July 16 and 17.
The festivities are brought to you by the team behind Shoot Your Shot, ‘Glasgow’s number one inclusive and alternative queer party.’
The club night collective previously worked to maintain their close relationship with the city's LGBTQIA+ community over lockdown by hosting live streams of artists and DJs to raise money for charities like LGBT Unity Scotland.
Organisers said: “This will be music lovers' first opportunity to experience the performers in person who have been keeping us entertained throughout lockdown.
“Some of the city’s most incendiary DJs, performers, creatives and visual artists will be performing alongside one another in SWG3’s huge outdoors and undercover events space.”
Although covid restrictions will still be adhered to, with guests asked to stay seated and order drinks through an app, there’s a real sense of excitement building around the event which promises to bring us the high-energy, party atmosphere we’ve all been missing.
Bonzai Bonner, DJ and curator of Shoot Your Shot said: “We are ecstatic to return back to our original home, SWG3 to bring a full weekend of incredible local acts who have been keeping us entertained throughout the pandemic and are vital voices in our scene.”
