Glasgow has once again been turned into a film set for the latest Hollywood blockbuster.

The city's St Vincent and Cochrane streets have been taken over by film crews who are in the process of turning our dear green place into New York City.

So some of you might be wondering - what on earth is going on? Here we explain everything we know so far.

Glasgow Times:

What is being filmed?

We are pretty sure it is the as-yet-untitled Indiana Jones 5 film. Everyone on set so far is remaining tight-lipped about the project. But back in May, we reported that Two 10 Casting were looking for extras for a major Disney feature film to be filmed in July. The Indiana Jones series is the brainchild of Lucasfilm which was bought by Disney a few years ago.

While crews involved in the fifth Indiana Jones film were also recently filming at Aldochlay near Luss.

So taking all this into consideration we think it has to be the world's most loved archeologist.

Glasgow Times:

Will we see any famous actors in Glasgow?

We don't know yet. Our photographers have been on set most days and for the most part, it is full of crews who are in the process of turning the area into New York City.

We do know however the movie stars Harrison Ford of course. But Variety reports that he sustained a shoulder injury while filming a few weeks back. A spokesman for Disney said: "In the course of rehearsing for a fight scene, Harrison Ford sustained an injury involving his shoulder. Production will continue while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated, and the filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks.”

The movie also stars Fleabag actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Casino Royal star Mads Mikkelsen. We are keeping our eyes peeled.

Glasgow Times:

When will they actually film in Glasgow?

A working extra told us that they were asked if they were available to film from Monday to Thursday, July 12 to 15 this week for full days. They were told it was for Disney. This means we could see those cameras roll soon.

A list of road closures in the city centre, however, reveals filming could last to the end of the month. The road closures also suggest the set may move from its current location mid-way through the month.

So when will the fifth Indiana Jones film be set?

We believe the film may be set in 1969 based on some things we have spotted on set including a poster that boasts a welcome home message for the three astronauts who made history as the first men on the moon.

We also spotted some things  on set which gives you an idea of the era HERE
