Kevin Bridges has quit social media site Twitter "until everyone calms doon".
The comedian shared his final Tweet announcing the temporary break from the site, adding that he will keep fans updated on Instagram instead.
In a tweet, Kevin said: "Taking a wee break from this place until everyone calms doon. I’ll be wasting precious time with my loved ones in pursuit of likes on Instagram in the meantime. Peace and love folks x"

In reply to his tweet, fans were encouraging of the Clydebank comedian's decision to take a break.

One fan said: "You might have a long wait for the calming down of folks but I think we entirely understand why you'd want to have a break. Some days I find myself seething and it's all because of idiots on Twitter. Take care."
Another tweeted: "We’re in a world where every moron has an opinion unfortunately, they’d argue that blue paint was yellow just for the sake of it."
Kevin, 34, and his wife Kerry are shortly expecting the arrival of their first child.
The funnyman recently also revealed that he has "17 years of jokes" up his sleeve after unveiling a backlog of notepads containing skits, with fans looking forward to his eventual return to the stand-up stage.
