A WOMAN turned up at her neighbour’s door whilst brandishing seven kitchen knives.
Donna Dougan, 49, was shouting and swearing outside the property on Murano Street, in Glasgow’s Ruchill on June 19, last year.
She appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing after previously pleading guilty to being in possession of a number of knives and behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.
The prosecutor said: “At 5.30pm, the man and woman living in the property heard a bang at the front door.
“They heard the accused shouting ‘come out here you cow’ and ‘s****bag’. The man approached the door and looked through the spyhole.
“He observed the accused with a number of knives on her and striking the door with the knives. Police were contacted and attended. They found the accused still shouting and kicking the door.”
Cops caught Dougan with two knives in her hands, three knives within her waistband and two knives on the floor beside her.
She was conveyed to Helen Street police office.
Dougan’s defence solicitor told the court that it is an “alarming incident”.
He added: “It’s her first conviction for any offence and she’s moving away from that property.”
Sheriff Paul Brown told her: “It’s a very serious matter. But I do think there’s an alternative to custody.”
Dougan was ordered to stay within her home between 8pm-8am for 90 days.
