This year's Casa Amor cast includes two new boys from Glasgow. Find out more about them below.

Dale Mehmet, 24, is a barber hoping to make waves in the villa this week.

He says that the reason he decided to sign up for the reality show was for "something different."

Dale said: "I’m the kind of person who is super chilled. If I meet someone then that would be amazing. But I take everything as it comes. I’d like to meet someone I like and can move forward with, but I’ll just take it as it comes."

The self-taught barber, who operates Huncho Barbers in the North of Glasgow, said: "There was a quite well-known barbers in Glasgow that I wanted to shadow and learn how these guys cut hair.

"I worked there for about two years and then I created my own studio and started up myself.

"I think most people know I’m mixed race. My dad’s half Turkish, half Scottish. So I’ve got a wee bit of Turkish in me. My mum’s Scottish."

Dale is also a self-confessed "geek".

He said: "I love sci-fi movies, I love gaming, I love watching anime. I have a full anime sleeve, that’s how much I like it, I’ve got it tattooed on my body. I really like Japanese culture."

Dale already eyes for Faye, who is currently coupled up with financial consultant, Teddy Soares.

He said: "I’m not a bad guy who is going to steal somebody’s girl. But if I want something then I’m going to pursue it. I would go about it all in the right way. Everybody would be well aware of what I was doing."

Harry Young

Car salesman, Harry Young, is also hoping to impress the girls in the villa when he makes his entrance this week.

The 24-year-old is the first-ever Love Island contestant who has been cast from online dating app Tinder.

He said: "I’ve been single for a year and a half and previously went through heartbreak and I’ve had a bit of fun as well. Obviously, COVID then hit so I haven't had the chance to date.

"It was through Tinder that I signed up. Over the past year it was easier to start off an initial conversation online because pubs and clubs were closed."

Harry says that his job has given him the gift of the gab and he is hoping that this will give him an advantage in the villa.

He said: "I’m that type of person, if I’m on a night out or at work, I’m there for a laugh and the banter. People say they can hear me before they can see me.

"I’ve been a car salesman for about three years. All you do is speak to people, I love it. You’re having banter all day with customers."

Harry, who is also a qualified football referee, is hoping to catch the eye of Kaz, who has recently found a romantic connection with real estate agent, Tyler.

He said: "Kaz has always been in my top three.

"But once I’m in there and speaking with people, it could change.

"People will potentially be coupled up so if you want to get what you want and or if you have a connection with somebody, you’re going to have to step on toes or ruffle a few feathers."

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and live on the ITVHub.
