A COMMUNITY has been praised for their quick-thinking actions when a car flipped over after crashing.

The road crash involving two vehicles happened on Faifley Road in Clydebank today at noon prompting a 999 response. 

It is understood, however, that a woman and her daughter were trapped inside before they were rescued by members of the community.

Now the moment has been shared on Facebook with the community praised for their response. 

Glasgow Times:

A post on Facebook said: "A proud Faifley moment. Car flips over and a woman and her wee girl trapped inside.

"The whole of Faifley Road out helping to make sure they got out of car safely and that they were ok.

"From folk risking their own safety to folk going to get juice and sweets for the wee girl, the calling of emergency services and bringing first aid boxes.

"This is why I love Faifley as the people here are a proper community."

One Facebook user said: "Glad to hear all is well.There are a lot of kind people in Faifley and in Clydebank in general! Well done to all that helped."

Another added: "Well done everyone. Hope everyone involved is doing ok."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a two car crash on Faifley Road, Clydebank, around 12 pm on Saturday, July 31.

"There were no serious injuries and the road has reopened."
