A MAN has been rushed to the hospital following a disturbance in Glasgow this afternoon.

The 34-year-old has serious injuries following the incident before 1pm in Calvay Crescent in the city's Barlanark.

The force did not reveal details of what happened but the community page No1Seems2Care reports that area cordoned off.

They said: "Ongoing incident on Calvay Crescent Barlarnark. The police have an area cordoned off and the ambulance services are in attendance. Hope everyone is okay."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a disturbance on Calvay Crescent, Glasgow, around 12.55pm on Saturday, July 31.

"A 34-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
