Glasgow businesses that closed their doors due to the pressures of the Covid-19 pandemic are being given a chance to return to the scene with The Dockyard Social and surplus food app Too Good To Go.

The ‘Restaurant Revival Campaign’ will see Too Good To Go cover the rent costs of a three month residency for their winning applicant as part of their initiative to support independent businesses.

Glasgow Times:

Paschalis Loucaides, UK Managing Director of Too Good To Go, said: “It’s no secret that the last year has had a devastating impact on the UK’s restaurant scene.

“This is where we want to help. Much like we give a second chance to the food we save from going to waste on our app, we also want to make sure that one of Glasgow’s favourite local restaurants is given a second chance to thrive.”

The chosen business will be set up as ‘as a semi-permanent pop-up location’ at The Dockyard Social in the West End, which is well known as a starting ground for some of the best street restaurants in Glasgow,

Kyle Steel, owner of The Dockyard Social, said: “We’re here to help support and grow the thriving food community in Scotland and the opportunity to partner with Too Good To Go’s Restaurant Revival initiative is a match made in heaven.

“We’re proud to offer a home to another Glasgow based business and can’t wait to get started!”

Glasgow Times:

Restaurants can apply for this amazing opportunity simply by filling out a form here before midnight on August 11.
