Nicola Sturgeon has invited Boris Johnson to a meeting in Bute House when the Prime Minister is in Scotland later this week.
The First Minister has written to Ten Downing Street to discuss the covid recovery plans.
Sturgeon said it was important that they worked together on recovery from the pandemic.
She wrote: “I understand you will be in Scotland later this week and thought this might offer us an opportunity to meet in Edinburgh in person for a discussion on the current covid situation and our respective plans for recovery-focusing obviously on the areas where it is important our governments work together.
“I would be happy to welcome you to Bute House an herby extend an invitation.”

Revealing the invite she said that they hadn’t met for a while.
She said: “We differ politically but our governments must work together where we can.”
Sturgoen is tomoorow due to outline the plans for Scotland to remove the levels system next week.
