A man was left with a head injury after striking a pavement kerb during an assault in Glasgow's Gallowgate.
The 34-year-old was assaulted in the East End area close to the junction of Melbourn Street at around 9.00pm on Friday, July 23.
The victim was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary following the assault for treatment.
Police have now launched an investigation into the incident.
Detective Constable Jamie Whitton of CID said: “The victim was walking east on Gallowgate when he was approached by a man and assaulted, which resulted in him striking his head on the kerb.
"We are keen to trace a man described as being mid to late 30s, tanned skin, dark hair and around 5'10” in height. He was wearing an orange t-shirt and blue shorts.
“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the assault or came to the victim’s aid to come forward. I would appeal to anyone who has dash-cam or CCTV footage to contact us as soon as possible, you may have captured something that could assist our investigation.
“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 1641 of Thursday, 29 July.”
