Savage pleaded guilty to assaulting 31 year-old Crawford to his permanent disfigurement.

He was sentenced to two years at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

The hearing was told how Crawford was on a prison telephone when Savage lunged at him.

He was left bleeding after being repeatedly slashed across the head.
