A POLICE officer was injured whilst working in Glasgow today. 

It is believed the cop was arresting a man, aged 31, when he was allegedly hurt. 

His injuries have been described as "minor", and he did not need any treatment. 

The incident took place at 12pm today on Castlebank Street, near the River Clyde.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 12pm on Wednesday, August 4, a police officer in Glasgow suffered minor injury whilst carrying out enquiries in Castlebank Street.

“He did not require any medical attention and was fit to continue his duties.

“A 31 year old man has been arrested.”
