AN EAST End events venue is set to host two outdoor disco events paying tribute to Prince and Fleetwood Mac later this month.

The discos, hosted by Let's Go Back, will take place across the weekend of August 21 and 22 at Glasgow's Barras Art and Design (BAaD).

The first event, celebrating the music of Prince, will be held on Saturday, August 21 and will feature "the world’s number one Prince tribute act" Mark Anthony.

Anthony, he only tribute act to appear on Top of the Pops, will be backed by a selection of musicians, DJs and dancers during his performance.

He's expected to perform classic Prince tracks, such as Kiss, 1999, When Doves Cry, Raspberry Beret and Purple Rain.

The following night's disco will pay tribute to Fleetwood Mac - one of the best-selling and most well-known bands of all time.

The band will appear on a "giant LED screen" as DJs Let’s Go Back, Al Kent (Million Dollar Disco) and Rebecca Vasmant play a selection of their greatest hits, such as Go Your Own Way, Don't Stop and Dreams.

The events were originally due to take place at Queen's Park Arena in the city's South Side, but it is claimed a new venue had to be found due to licencing issues.
