NORMALLY, I'll opt for something cheesy, fatty, filling and comforting for takeaway lunch at work.

But not this day, I didn't fancy feeling like a potato - slumped behind my desk with the regret of stuffing my face.

I wanted brain food and I didn't want to feel completely burst by 2pm, unable to move because I'm so full.

Glasgow Times:

Hungry, I grabbed my phone and quickly ran through what is considered the 'healthy options' on Deliveroo.

Sprigg popped up with appealing pictures of salad bowls and a 15-30 minute drop-off guarantee. Perfect.

I was instantly impressed by the menu - there was tofu, falafel, halloumi and tuna. It was ideal for me being one of the only veggies at the Glasgow Times.

Glasgow Times:

Meat lovers have a choice of chilli chicken or lemon chicken.

After anticipation, I chose the tofu lunch bowl - filled with spinach, marinated tofu, sesame rice noodles, soy chili beansprouts, edamame beans, red onion, green beans, carrots and crispy shallots.

I threw in some sourdough focaccia and a brownie for sides just to be cheeky. I need the energy, I fibbed to myself.

It arrived after around 25 minutes which was ideal. By the time the bowl was in my clutch I was ravenous.

And to taste, it hit the spot. Everything was fresh and crisp. The oriental combination of the vegetables and noodles was delicious. The tofu was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth.

Glasgow Times:

The portion was large, probably large enough to have in two sittings but I ate the lot.

I fell in love with the focaccia, it was salty, chewy and toasted perfectly.

The brownie (my favourite dessert) only impressed me more. It was slightly crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. I wish I had ordered two.

The only thing I would warn you about is not to pour on too much salad dressing - it left my chest feeling ever so slightly acidic.

Glasgow Times:

Otherwise, it does not surprise me that this place has so many good reviews. If you fancy splashing out a little and treating yourself to something healthy, Sprigg will not disappoint.
