DISNEY on Ice has reacted to outrage over a lack of Scottish dates for its upcoming UK tour.

As previously reported by the Glasgow Times, parents had demanded answers as to why the autumn/winter tour due to take place later this year only included English dates.

Despite Glasgow being included in the 2020 tour, which was cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, there are currently no Scottish, Welsh, or Northern Irish dates included in this year's line-up.

Outraged parents slammed the company for failing to think about families who had been hoping to re-book tickets after missing out on last year's event.

The official Disney on Ice UK Tour Facebook page responded to disgruntled customers with apologies, insisting there was no plans to add any additional dates and encouraged fans to keep an eye out for future tours.

However, US-based tour operators Field Inc has since confirmed Scottish dates have not been ruled out.

A spokeswoman said: "We are still working on routing for our Disney On Ice engagements for this year and next.

"There is a possibility of additional dates being added as many factors have to align before we can confirm public on-sale dates."
