THE firm which owns House of Fraser will move to Braehead after securing two units at the mall, it has been announced.

The retail giant, which has its flagship store in Buchanan Street, will take over premises in the Renfrewshire shopping centre after signing a 15-year lease.

It is among a number of other well-known high street names making the move to Braehead in the near future.

Paperchase and Pink Vanilla will be coming to the centre, managed by SGS, with the Italian restaurant chain Prezzo, Claire's Accessories and Yankee Candle all renewing their leases.

Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, told the Paisley Daily Express: “We are thrilled to welcome a host of new retailers, and to renew terms with some of our noteworthy existing tenants – reflecting a positive outlook for the year ahead and as restrictions ease.

"Despite the challenges of the past 17 months, Braehead continues to be a popular retail and leisure destination in the Glasgow area, and these deals will further enhance the diversity of our offer.

"Physical retail and leisure space remains a central pillar of brands’ long-term strategies - key to driving both online and in-store sales."
