Alfredo Morelos has been left out of Colombia's national team squad for World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Paraguay.
There were fears that the Rangers striker could miss up to three games to quarantine rules if he was to travel for international duty.
Morelos would have been forced to quarantine for 10 days on his arrival back in Glasgow due to all of the above countries being on the red list, which would rule him out of games against St Johnstone and Motherwell.
Morelos has already been forced to self-isolate this season and missed fixtures at the beginning of the season.
He spent his time in a hotel at Glasgow Airport where he was filmed by a punter running and attempting to keep himself fit in the car park as he prepared to return to action for the Light Blues.
FIFA have previously insisted all players must be released by their clubs for qualifiers.
