A VETERAN'S charity has been given the go-ahead to restart a popular fundraising event.

The Erskine Motorbike Meet, which raises funds for the Erskine veterans charity will take place on Sunday September 5 from 1pm - 5pm after it was cancelled last year due to Covid-19.

Over 1,000 motorbikes, trikes and riders are expected to take part in a huge parade, departing from Park Mains High School at 12.40pm ahead of a fun-filled day at the Erskine estate.

Visitors will be treated to live music and entertainment as well as food and market stalls.

Entry for bikers is £5, visitors are £2 and kids go free.

Jennifer Campbell, Erskine’s Events & Corporate Fundraising Manager said: “Having had to cancel this event in 2020, Erskine is looking forward to welcoming back all the wonderful motorbike enthusiasts, families and supporters to the annual Erskine Motorbike Meet.

“Led by Erskine Ambassador Heather Clissett and supported by our amazing volunteers, the Erskine Motorbike Meet is an unmissable family fun day that raises vital funds for our Veterans.”
