Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro are playing Glasgow Green TONIGHT ahead of the return of Scotland's biggest festival, TRNSMT.

The band from Kilmarnock, who have received worldwide acclaim over 26-years, will return to their Scottish roots for one night only on Thursday September 9, before TRNSMT gets underway the following day.

It's part of a European wide tour which launched earlier this summer and will last a year, finishing in Germany in August 2022.

Here's everything you need to know about the Biffy Clyro concert next week...

What time does the show start?

Gates will open at 4pm on Thursday September 9, with support acts Yungblood, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes and Porridge Radio playing first.

The exact timings have not yet been released, but if past concerts are anything to go by, fans can expect Biffy Clyro to come on around 9pm.

How do I get there?

TRNSMT advise that the easiest way to get from the city centre to Glasgow Green is by walking.

If you are travelling from outwith the city, the Green is within a 15-minute walk from five different train stations - Glasgow Central Station, Queen Street Station, High Street Station, Argyle Street Station and Bridgeton Station. You can check timetables here.

The same goes for subway stations Buchanan Street Station and St Enoch Station, both within a 15-minute walk. You can see timetables here.

If you wish to travel by bus, First Bus services 18, 43, 64, and 263 all stop within a five-minute walk to Glasgow Green.

You can also get to Glasgow Green via Uber, who have officially partnered with TRNSMT festival.

What will the weather be like?

The weather forecast predicts heavy rain and thunderstorms for the majority of Thursday, which are predicted to last well into this evening.

Saying that, the sun could peep through at times offering some respite from the rain.
