A ONE-OFF celebration of Fleetwood Mac's early music will be screened in cinemas across Glasgow next week.

The concert film featuring Mick Fleetwood and a host of guest stars will pay tribute to the music of founding member, Peter Green, who passed last year.

The once-in-a-lifetime celebration will show at Everyman Glasgow at Princes Square Shopping Centre, Odeon at Springfield Quay, Cineworld at Renfrew Street and Vue at Glasgow Fort.

The event, filmed at The London Palladium in February 2020, boasts a line-up of musical greats, including Neil Finn (Crowded House), Noel Gallagher (Oasis), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) and Bill Wyman (The Rolling Stones).

The house band featured Mick Fleetwood himself and performances include seminal Fleetwood Mac classics, such as Albatross, Green Manalashi and Need Your Love.

The event will be screening in over 350 cinemas nationwide across two evenings only.

Peter Green was a founding member of Fleetwood Mac and had a huge impact on the band, as well as being recognised as one of the greatest musicians in the world.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame together with Fleetwood Mac in 1998 and Rolling Stone magazine rated Peter as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of all time.

On the show coming to cinemas, Mick Fleetwood said: "I’m thrilled that our wonderful tribute concert to my friend and mentor, Peter Green is headed to the big screen.

"Fleetwood Mac fans will get the opportunity to see this amazing show as if they were sitting in the stalls that night.

"The generous spirit of love and admiration from all of our wonderful guests that night highlight the legacy of those early years of Fleetwood Mac songs.

"It’s immensely fulfilling to know that this show will live on forever – just like Peter’s amazing music.

"I can’t think of a time when you get to see a line-up of rock n’ roll legends this great at the local cinema.”

Mick Fleetwood and Friends Celebrate The Music of Peter Green will be screened on Tuesday and Sunday, September 7 and 12.
