Man arrested and charged in connection with death of male, 40
A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 40-year-old male.
The 49-year-old appeared in Hamilton Sheriff Court yesterday.
Emergency services were called to a report of a man being injured in the Glen Avenue area of Larkhall on Friday, August 20 at around 10.30pm.
Police have now named the man as David Devine from Bellshill.
David's mother said: "We are in deep mourning because of the tragic and sudden loss of my darling son. I sincerely request that our privacy is respected at this time.
He was taken to the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank but sadly died on Sunday, August 29.
