TRNSMT returns to Glasgow Green this weekend, marking the return of Scotland's largest music festival.

It comes as Covid cases in Scotland have been rising following the easing of restrictions on August 9.

As a result, the festival will introduce certain Covid measures and rules to keep attendees and staff as safe as possible.

The measures implemented mean TRNSMT will have some of the strictest entry requirements for any large-scale event in the UK.

Here's what you need to know about the rules...

What are the entry requirements for TRNSMT?

Everyone attending the festival must take a lateral flow test ahead of the event, upload the result and show their confirmation email or text showing a negative result to stewards upon entry.

Anyone unable to provide proof of a negative test will be denied entry to the festival.

If you are attending the festival over multiple days, you may be required to take a second test.

You must take a second test 48-hours after the first one, so if you take a test on Friday morning and are also attending the event on Sunday, you will need to take a second test that morning.

The recent announcement regarding the potential introduction of vaccine passports in Scotland will not apply to TRNSMT.

Will I have to wear a mask at TRNSMT?

TRNSMT's guidance on the wearing of facemasks is in line with that of the Scottish government.

It means that the festival advises attendees to wear face coverings while on public transport, when queuing for food and drink or to enter the site, and also when queuing for the toilets/inside the toilets.

The website says people do not need to wear a mask when eating, drinking or dancing.

It also urges people to respect individuals decisions on the wearing of face masks, stating: "Some people will prefer to continue to wear a face covering so please respect other people’s choice to continue to do so."

What are the hand washing facilities at TRNSMT?

There will be over 140 hand sanitising stations located around the site as well as more hand washing facilities than ever before.

Can I use cash at TRNSMT?

No, for the first time TRNSMT is operating on a completely cashless basis as another Covid precaution.

Instead, all vendors will offer contactless payments.
