SCOTRAIL are adding more seats ahead of the much anticipated Biffy Clyro gig this week.

The Ayrshire rockers will play Glasgow Green on Thursday and the train operator will add more carriages to and from the city to accommodate the swathes of fans expected to be in attendance.

But passengers have been warned to check the time of the last train as it may be scheduled to leave before or shortly after the finish time.

While spirits may be high, train bosses have also warned that alcohol is still prohibited on trains and face coverings should still be worn.

Phil Campbell, ScotRail Head of Customer Operations, said: “We’re really looking forward to helping music lovers travel to see Biffy Clyro this Thursday.

“To help the concert run smoothly, we’re providing extra seats to and from the Strathclyde area, but trains are expected to be busy.

“Make sure to check your train times on our website or app and leave plenty of time for travel as the last trains of the evening will depart before, or very shortly after, the event finishes. Buying your train tickets in advance will also help reduce your queuing time.”
