ONE of Glasgow's most popular ice cream parlours has been forced to close its doors temporarily due to a staff shortage.

Loop & Scoop have been forced to shut the doors on the Bearsden branch after staff were told to self-isolate.

This isolation period for staff members has meant that there is not enough to keep the shop running, with the store temporarily closing until they return.

The shop says that they hope to be back up and running in Bearsden tomorrow.

In a post on social media, Loop & Scoop said: "Like many businesses in the hospitality sector, we are suffering from staff shortages at the moment.

"Unfortunately, we won’t be able to open our Bearsden store today, due to a number of staff having to self isolate.

"We hope to have the store back open tomorrow, but keep an eye out for updates on this.

"Sorry for any disappointment and thank you as always for the support."

Loop & Scoop also confirmed that their Great Western Road branch remains unaffected and is open as normal.
