Verdict: 4.5 out of 5 stars

MASSIVE dance floorfillers, medical emergencies and rowdy fans scaling the bar.

Rest assured, Becky Hill's unforgettable TRNSMT headline set had it all.

The pop powerhouse brought a welcome dose of effervescent dance-pop – and an unruly crowd – to the King Tut's stage on Saturday night.

The singer, hailed the queen of British dance music, boasted a set packed with non-stop bops, kicking off with big, belting vocals courtesy of Hold On and the thrilling, frenzied Afterglow.

The few thousand-strong audience belted out back-to-back chart hits in the form of MK's Piece of Me and Gecko (Overdrive) – the latter currently being the only song by a The Voice UK contestant to reach number one.

The fired-up performance showed exactly why, with the 27-year-old jumping into the bouncing pit for the tune's electric chorus as mobile phones filled the air.

"I'm sorry I was late to the stage, but you guys were going too hard too early," she laughed. "You had some casualties back there."

The remark came as a medical emergency delayed the highly-anticipated set for more than 10 minutes, resulting in boos and jeers from eager fans.

Hill continued full steam ahead with recent chart-topper Last Time – one of the biggest songs of this summer – which turned the set up a notch alongside Heaven On My Mind.

"Can you crazy motherf***ers get down from the bar? I've already been 15 minutes f***ing late because you can't handle your drugs or your drink

"Get down and listen to the f***ing music. I didn't come to f***ing Scotland to be f***ed around, alright?," the dance diva roared down the mic.

Hill powered on with bass-heavy earworms Lose Control and My Heart Goes (La Di La) – taken from debut album Only Honest on the Weekend – with debut solo single Losing and groovy False Alarm next on the bill.

After lowering the tempo with I Could Get Used To This, the star spotted a young fan holding up a shoddily-made sign.

"That is the s****est sign I've ever seen. If you want your t**s signed, you bring your own pen," she exclaimed before being handed over a marker.

After signing the 17-year-old boy's chest, she launched into an encore of Better Off Without You, Wish You Well and a euphoric closer provided by David Guetta collaboration Remember.

The Worcestershire pop star branded the gig one she'll never forget – and I'm sure that rings true for many others who were in the crowd too.
