FORMER Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has thanked fans in Glasgow after his headlining show at TRNSMT last night.

The Manchester-born singer took to social media this morning to show his appreciation for crowds in the city.

Gallagher described the Glaswegian audience as "the best" telling fans to "stay safe, stay cool."

In a statement published to Twitter he said: "Thank you Glasgow you are the best crowd you blew my wigwam off last night stay safe stay cool and remember it's not where you're from it's where you're at as you were LG x"

During the show the rock 'n roll star dedicated the 1994 Oasis track 'Live Forever' to the victims of 9/11 on the 20th anniversary of the attacks.

The performance marked Gallagher's return to the festival which he previously headlined in 2018.
