A MOTORCYCLIST has been rushed to hospital following a crash between a bike and a car this morning.
The 20-year-old was involved when the vehicles collided at the junction of North Street and Sauchiehall Street at around 7.50am.
Emergency services rushed to the busy Charing Cross thoroughfare with the rider taken to the Royal Infirmary by medics for treatment.
His condition is understood to be not life-threatening but the Glasgow Times has contacted the Scottish Ambulance Service for comment.
The road was partially shut for around an hour and has since reopened. No information has been released on the condition of the driver.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 7.50am on Monday, September 13, to a report of a crash involving a car and a motorbike in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, near the Charing Cross junction.
“A 20-year old man, the driver of the motorbike, has been taken by the Scottish Ambulance Service to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.”
“The road was partially blocked and recovery of the vehicles has been arranged."
