POLICE say they found no-one requiring assistance following reports of someone in a river shouting for help.
A large emergency service response was sent to Kirklandneuk Crescent, Renfrew, yesterday, at the River Cart.
Police, fire crews, and Greenock and Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Teams attended at the scene at around 5.10pm.

Extensive searches were carried out but officers say there was no trace of any incidents or anyone requiring assistance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.10pm on Monday, September 14, officers were called to the Kirklandneuk Crescent area of Renfrew, following concern for someone reportedly shouting for help.
"Extensive searches and enquiries were carried out in the area throughout the evening, but there was no trace of any incidents or anyone requiring assistance.”
