THE LOCAL community have been invited to have their say on the proposed future development of the St. Enoch Centre.
Property developer and retail asset manager, Sovereign Centros, is inviting the public to view and give feedback on the plans next month in a virtual and physical public consultation.
The proposals for the centre include the creation of up to 1700 homes, a revitalised shopping and leisure space, a four-star hotel, high quality office space and an inclusive and accessible public realm space.
They are expected to be completed in phases over 15-20 years.
Guy Beaumont, director at Sovereign Centros, said: "We are right at the beginning of a long and detailed process and we are keen to engage with key stakeholders, local residents and the general public as we further develop and refine our proposals.
"Glasgow already has a fantastic reputation as a leading UK city and we want to build on its position as a world class destination to work, visit and shop.
"We are very much looking forward to showing local people who we feel we can enhance the area and to capturing their views on the proposals."
A planning application will be prepared for submission at the end of the year after all feedback is gathered.
The public consultation will take place on October 1 and 2 from 10am-3pm in a ground-floor unit of the St. Enoch Centre beside Millie's Cookies.
There will also be a live interactive consultation online with members of the project team responding to questions in real-time.
