TWO men have been injured after a "frightening" assault in Paisley. 

Aged 18 and 26, an unidentified male confronted the two men and assaulted them before running off in an unknown direction on Tannahill Road in the Ferguslie Park area of Paisley at around 10.50pm last night.

The suspect has not been described by witnesses.

Paisley police have now launched an appeal for any information members of the public might have.

Detective Constable Robert Young of Paisley CID said: “Two men have been injured and this would have been a frightening experience for everyone involved.

“Extensive enquiries are ongoing to identify the persons responsible, including reviewing CCTV from the area.

“Anyone who believed they may have information which could help to identify the person involved or who was in the area at the time of the assault is urged to contact police as soon as they can.

“I would also encourage anyone who may have been driving in the area and recording via a dashcam device to check your systems for relevant footage.”
